We are fairly warm here (Cote Nord, QC) for this time of year, 3-4C. I burn up my junk wood this time of year, mainly spruce, bit of fir from around the place. Winter hits I burn Birch as it is the best wood in the area for this.

Probably 4" that melted as soon as the sun began to shine today. Very little remaining.

We had our first fire about a week ago. :camping: First time it had dipped into the 30's overnight. I had anticipated it and had the makings all set by the stove. Woke up to 38* and built the fire. Wish I had a picture to share. Have had a fire every day since. Gotta remember to back off and let it die in the early evening. Just can't get to sleep if the house is too warm!

I got a fire going this morning and reloaded the stove once. Burning shoulder wood and at supper this evening, the fire was mostly out. I will get it going again in the morning.

39 / 59. Pine, silver maple, and a small amount of oak mixes in. Cat thermometer is at 1237 but house is still only about 71 degrees. I'm ok with starting out the day overly warm as the house depending on sun will likely cool off until evening when I can get another going. Overnight low will be 47 so I can have a hot fire again.

Another burn in the Kuuma is on schedule. Still burning the "too long for the new furnace cutoff pieces of firewood". One fire and then done.
