GF and I were Looking for something to spend some time together. Decided to visit Ha Ha Tonka State Park at the Southern edge of The Lake of the Ozarks. At a little over 2 1/2 hours drive time, a nice day trip. It was an absolutely beautiful fall day. With the blue sky, temperatures in the 70’s and the leaf colors. This picture you can see where the wood beams where at between the windows.
So we got done fairly early, so we had seen a few billboards about Bridal Caves on the way down there. So we figured we’d check it out too! Fact it’s had about 4,000 plus Weddings inside. I think it was like 4,500 … but can’t quite remember exactly. First one was like 1948. these first two pictures are from the outside of another entrance to a cave, not sure if the same cave or not, but was a nice picture.
The guide “Tripsy” (she really made the tour a very great experience). She brought out the black like. If you notice the green light trailing the black light. That’s the glow from the black light, kinda similar to the glow in the dark lights. The wish pond, proceeds from this g to a education fund, like a scholarship. this formation, notice the coloration. Is known as the bacon.
these formations are known as straws. Since they are hollow tubes that form and drop the water droplets on down. This board is from the early days of exploring the cave.
The end of the tour, but not the end of the cave. This water takes further end to another land area. But they take a raft now I guess. “Supposedly” this water is really thick. The wood in the water is from the early exploration days.
So we were a bit, late on the end of the tour. So she turned off all the lights. Can one say pitch black dark. Then she brought out the black light again. On the last picture, you can barely see a green light from the glow from the black light.
I would stay away from anything with “bridal” in the name or that has anything to do with weddings, unless you are wanting to plant a seed & are looking for a change in your lifestyle…
