This month started cutting Solo stove wood again like I did last year.. I cut about a cord or so last year and it sold pretty well so I thought I would do the same again for 2025.

Cut to 11” long and split small. All oak this year. Emma the dog was a big helper too..lol

What is your drying time like when splitting oak that small? I did the same with cherry and maple last year, and it sold quite well.

About 9 months on the oak is what it took last year… it’s stored under cover so that helps a little bit and cutting to 11” helps some too. I’ll sell it next summer.

Nice stuff for some lucky customers. I have a few bags of scrap framing lumber (no PT) for sale as solo stove wood. No takers yet. What volume(s) do you sell? Bundle, bag, bin etc?

I sell $10.00 per box.. a box contains 15 to 20 splits or about 1.5 square feet or so… I also only deliver. $20 delivery within 10 miles, no matter how many boxes they purchase. I get many orders for 3 to 6 boxes… most orders are 5 miles away on average.

That’s a good idea! I give some wood to my neighbor that has a solo and realized the splits need to be shorter. I give him shorts and smalls when he’s out I just cut some down.

My buddy just came and picked through my ugly pile last weekend for his Solo pit. He helps me work sometimes, so he gets free pickins.
