Grab a loop of carbide and have at it? Might as well post,, can you please come clean up my mess for free? I saw one the other day that was about 6-7’ tall huge pile of brush/limb wood, nothing over about 2”, “free wood”.
Looks like the dumping ground at a tree services yard. That makes the silver maple i posted about yesterday look like primo wood.
See that crap all the time, plus the ones where there is a few sticks, but they try to make them look bigger than they are.
All the time here, too. If you let it drive you nuts you'll have a very short life, for sure. Sometimes I almost feel sorry for them, but who knows, it could just be someone posting covert messages and it's not about the twigs at all.
I like the ones that say you must dispose of brush. I've even seen ads that say you can't use a chainsaw on the property for big stuff that has already been cut but too big to move.
I have been told lots of times that I couldn't run a saw somewhere. Turns out nobody likes to argue with a guy running a saw. I have no problem taking free wood, as long as it is reasonable. Problem is most of those crazy ads are posted by unreasonable people who get upset when you say anything about the "deal" they are giving. I was told yesterday to keep my nose out of where it doesn't belong after inquiring about one of those ads. It was an oak log that was rotten at the base and was sitting in what looked to be poison ivy.... I mentioned the poison ivy and he went nuts.
You get all different types on FBM/CL. Some are bigger knuckleheads than others. When i get one thats nice, reasonable and pleasant i make it a point to thank them for such.
There are actually a couple decent "freebie" ads for wood in my area. I saw black locust and red oak. I also saw piles of punk and sticks. lol
It's too far for a pickup load, man! LOL!! I'm in the foothills of the appalachias. The beautiful Ohio River Valley.
ooooooooh! Thats tempting. 20 minutes is my cut off although ive gone farther when im jonesing for a score. (like now) That pic reminds me of what it looked like around here in August of 2020. Hurricane Isaias and a tornado three weeks later brought a lot of BL down. Still finding and cutting it.
