    With the shorter evenings we have started throwing on instead of stacked rounds loaded. Don't get as much but the truck enjoys the break so does the help :) Walnut & oak this round probably 3-4 more truck loads out of the same 3 trees that came down. Bigger oak rounds for next 2-3 loads :jaw: wood1.jpg

    I had some big oak rounds last weekend that were at my limit to pick up by myself.....

    Thanks, I think so... Great job with that haul, I bet your just shy of two cords.... :) And walnut is such a treat too.., I don't get much but it would end up in my special pile if I did... :)

    As the story tells, the guy that owned it before me dropped a tree across the bed do in fire wood, he put it on before I got it, took a while to get that story out of him...

    Not a darn thing wrong with that load, even if it is just tossed in. I hope to get out and cut a load in the next couple weeks...my saws are missing me. I'm at least 4 years ahead but a man's got to do what a man's got to do.

    I hear ya, These next loads of oak will get me back in the game for 3 yrs ahead, last winter dug into futures a little. I think it did for quite a few people.

    I burnt less last year because it was my first year with the new cat stove, but it was quite a winter and may be another on the way.
