That is a huge amount of the good stuff T.Jeff Veal. I don't mess with the big stuff anymore; too hard on the body and equipment. 95% of what I sell is white oak and hickory. Roughly 100 cords in the woodyard. Four currently going out for about one back in.
You certainly have the tools for handling the big stuff. Amazing how many splits you get out of a big round. Heading south to Murfreesboro for a delivery tomorrow. 97 miles one way. I have a large demand for my “Smoker Special” (Cherry, Hickory & White Oak) and people are willing to pay for long distance deliveries. I enjoy the Fall colors while driving this time of year.
I deliver approximately 50 CUFT to my long distance customers. Spot checked a dozen pieces and all was in the 11-14% moisture range. Many ways to please a customer, but bone dry firewood is at the top of the list.
Three face cords out today, three tommorrow and four an a half Wednesday. Will look like the Beverly Hillbillies with Wednesday's load. Benjamin's are marching home!
Have a nail in my left rear trailer tire. Don’t have the time to fix it, so just add a few psi each day. With eight tires going down the road approximately 300 miles a day, it is a regular issue. I build this into my price among other cost items.

One of my deliveries today was to a singer/song writer who also produces their own hot sauce. They were expecting over two hundred guests for their Halloween party tonight. Many guests where bringing their own fire pits. Felt very privileged to be a part of their gathering.
Him and his wife are expanding their pepper field and building a smoke house. Think I might be supplying the firewood. Like being a part of successful firewood related businesses.
A four face cord delivery is a long ash day. About two hours to load and prep and nine + hours to deliver and stack it all. Approximately twelve Benjamins for my efforts.
Couple years ago I had an interlock client who was part owner of: Hot Sauce Store | Specialty Sauces | Torchbearer Sauces He used to bring us bottles every time he came in. Pretty cool "tip". Those hickory rounds a few pics back on the dump truck appeared pretty hefty!
Those were 32x32+" white oak. 1 piece was all the Kubota could pick up. Extremely heavy. Probably 4.5-5 tons on the trailer
