Morning all. Pouring rain and windy outside this morning. I had wanted to finish the RV but I think it will have to wait. Inside jobs today. Housecleaning, grocery shopping and bookkeeping (if I have time)

Done splitting for the year. The small rack is shoulder wood that will go into the wood shed next spring to be burned fall of 2027. The larger rack of wood goes into the wood shed to go into rotation, which means it may be 4 years before it gets burned.
The split rack is also shoulder wood that will go into the wood shed for fall of 2027 burning.



This rack is what I finished up today. That will go into the wood shed in the spring of 2026 to be burned in 4 to 5 years.

 

I'd bring the cornbread!

My dad's transport to rehab didn't occur yesterday. Today, hopefully.

Good morning everyone! No real plan for the day so we'll see what happens.

 

Good morning, ya'll. Hope ya'll have a SUPER SATURDAY. 43°/75°, clear. First night almost done, grabbing some breakfast when I get off, then moving a few more limbs for a friend and bringing tractor home for a couple days. Got to cut and split a good load of farwood for a deer camp before nap time.

Morning all. Rain expected for today with some wind. Yesterday's weather alert didn't affect our power thankfully. It did mess up the ferry schedule to the islands as the temporary ferry is too small for the run now. A lot of unhappy people waiting for the last few runs of the day last night.

Peter was anxious, nervous and cold. He huddled around the fire in the courtyard of the High Priest dwelling. Suddenly someone recognized him as being a follower of Jesus. No, No I am not, was his answer. Twice more he denied Jesus and then the rooster crowed for the second time.
Peter was heartbroken. His boasting of always being there for Jesus no matter what was an empty promise. He went away and wept.

How often do we deny our Lord? By word, deed or thought we are guilty of the same as Peter. The Good News is that Jesus loves us. As Jesus sees our repentant prayers, he gathers us up in his love and assures us that we are still part of the Family of God.

“I have prayed for you… that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers” Luke 22:32

My dad was finally transfered to a rehab facility. My stress level can settle a bit. It's a nice place. I'll probably get my mom there for a visit, in a day or three. That'll allow my dad to settle into a routine.
