Just spent some time in MN, I believe it when you said you really needed it, lakes and creeks really looked low.
First burn of the season on Columbus Day.. Currently 39 rain and raw… High of 40 I was in garage daughter came home and lit the beast! Soft maple and yellow birch… It was 60 inside but damp and chilly I predict house be 80 soon and bedroom windows cracked for fresh air soon
We went from virtually no snow, to an over abundance of rain in the period between April annd August, then just .35” in September.
1st burn of the season. Gets to 36f tonight Probably light a few fires for next few days, gets up to lows in 50s by weekend Pine Maple and ash tonight Finished my tube stove to smoke dragon conversion. Welded/blocked off all un regulated air ports, removed baffles and tubes(kept just in case) welded 2 pieces of angle over the stack outlet to slow the exhaust a bit
First fire of the year. Supposed to get down lower 30’s. Burning shortys of Ash, Black Walnut, and Silver Maple.
Had the first fire earlier. 48 and windy, 67 inside. Pine and cherry in the fireview. Had to burn all the stinker bugs out.
40/70 here Ha I'm doing the same right now just a few small splits to kill em and take the chill out.
It’s getting closer… freeze warning for tonight… I guess I’ll try to get the pipe cleaned tonight and the stove cleaned up tonight…. Procrastinating… ..
