So before I left Robin rushed out to give me an envelope. I didn't open it until I got home. Surprise! A card with a whole bunch of names. I have to say that everyone who signed the card are wonderful people and I am proud to call them friends. Thank you everyone.
walt thanks for the hospitality like always. If you need help cutting & splitting the rest of that wood, shoot me a PM with dates and times and I'll gladly come over and help. As always, it was a great time.
Thank you for the offer , I may take you up on it. Have friends coming this Saturday to make firewood and hope to put another big dent in it. Didn't get a chance to thank you or say goodbye on Saturday I do appreciate all the hard work everyone put forth
I just wanted to thank everyone that attended our GTG this year. Seems like everyone chipped in and it was a tremendous success, the pile of fresh splits tells the story. I wouldn't be able to do this without the help of you and my family. You people are top notch and I am proud to be a member of this great group. Thanks again
Side note. I think it was Tucker that asked me about milage towing. I got 9.5 mpg from Walts to the PA border. The trailer swaying like crazy from the broken suspension (and wind) may have affected that a bit. Combined weight is around 20,000 lbs.
That’s not too far from mine. I think I averaged around 10.5 to 11 mpg with the enclosed trailer on my way home. Running around 70 mph…
Thought I would give you folks an update , 31 good friends came yesterday morning to cut and split firewood. The weather was beautiful and we got alot accomplished. Twelve days ago there was bear ground here. During the GTG we figured we worked about eleven hours and yesterday we probably worked about four or five. Still have more logs to cut and think we might end up with 50 cord or so.
