We're at 70 now and are supposed to get to 96 today. Hopefully, this is the last day for that nonsense. Overnight was 45. 50 degree swing today. I'm beyond ready for wood stove temps.
I see several nights forecast to be in 30's coming up. We did warm up overnight but that should be short lived.
I ran the soot eater through the chimney yesterday and this morning started the first fire of the season. Just a small one to take the chill off.
No fire as of yet. Looking ahead this week I don't see any days that would be a first fire day. Best chance might be Thursday. Meanwhile Im like
We ate out this evening and when we got home, I lit our first fire. Had to take the chill out of the house. It was only 70 degrees with temps in the 50's out. Seems late for a first fire of the season.
-3c/26f again this morning with more frost and expected highs of 19c/66f today which is quite a bit above normal. The regular frosty mornings sure are denting the bug population. The stove is cold and furnace is on. We were able to view the northern lights before bed last night.
