We had a big Cedar tree taken down on our property 35 years ago.
The stump sat for 25 years before I finally cut it up and got rid of it.
I’d placed the chunks from the stump by the fire pit where they have been for the past 10 years.
This afternoon I buzzed them up with the saw to use in a portable fire pit.
Amazed that while some of it was quite punky, there were still some solid pieces in the stack.

Is that Western red cedar? Doesn't seem to last as ground contact lumber IME.

Did it still have any aroma Reloader? WRC my favorite lumber smell.
