Took down 3 birch trees by a buddy and we split the wood. I figure I got close to a cord.
This is my mother in laws favorite fireplace wood. Should be ready to for her to burn next season. IMG_0082.jpeg

Nice job guys. I'm liking the uniform length rounds.

What? Aren’t all rounds 16 inches?

In a perfect world they would be. I wish tree service rounds were cut like that. I see so much free wood on FBM already cut but lengths a over the place.:hair: Most folks are kinda shocked when I say I want to cut it myself.

You make some nice rounds if I may say so myself.:salute:

Around here tree services seem to either cut less than 12" rounds or leave the small pieces at 20". Nothing in between. It's so frustrating.

I've had to learn and then re-learn the extremely painful lesson of being in a hurry and not cutting rounds to size properly. It can easily double your workload when processing and then you end up with a bunch of stupid offcuts.

Same here, I get the hairy eyeball sometimes when I tell people I prefer logs left long so I can cut to length myself.
