We had some heavy rain overnight, 5-6"...then rain today. The heavy rain and winds will hit here about midnight. The eye in now forecast to be very close to us. Maybe 60-70 mph...
Praying we stay safe. Hope the trees stay upright in the yard...

In the middle of the storm now. Heard a few things fall. Limbs have hit porch and roof. Wind howling.

Wind is forecast to be here around 8. I saw one big Willow Oak limb down on my way to work. Sipping coffee, watching and waiting.

Spent yesterday and today in the Kill Devil Hills area. Light rain and a little windy. Not bad at all here.

Hope all is well there Jeff and you and the family are safe.

Something tells me your wood hoard is going to grow exponentially in the coming weeks. Post some pics of the tree damage there.

If he was in a jam I'd be glad to help. I suppose I could take a load of pecan for my troubles, but the ride back may be a little rough. Youve seen how I load my truck.

Lost power yesterday with a steady windy rain showers. Just heartbroken over what is happening south of us. Terrible devastation.

My buddy lives in Tennessee, he sent me these pics a lil while ago...not sure the exact location. He said there are places where everything is just gone, literally, gone. I seen a video of houses and trucks just floating down the "river"...bridges and roads gone...even 4 lane highways.
Some place in western NC got 29.5" rain!!! IMG_3226.jpg IMG_3224.jpg IMG_3223.jpg
