Many of you probably seen my post on AS awhile bashing the 660 because my stock 461 beat the 660 on the dyno every time in stock form. Saturday I cut over four cord of oak and maple. I had my 36" bar on the 461 and my ported 361 took care of the small stuff. Then last night after work I helped out a friend that needed a bigger saw for a massive red oak tree that had a trunk roughly 50'' at the base and 40" for the next 10'. That 461 pulled that 36" chain with ease. I was pulling at times to make it work every once in a while. The torque of a stock 461 is just amazing. Stihl hit a home run with the 461:dex: IMO. Sorry no pics or videos.

My brother made the comment after watching the 461. "I gotta get me one of those"

They are nice. You ever get time to finish testing the other stihls?

Nope I haven't tested any saws lately. Ive been putting in overtime at work and my evenings and weekends have been busy. My list of things to do is overwhelming. I was able to get about five cord of wood cut and hauled out in the last three days. I'd like to have about five or six more cord yet before winter for next years burning season.

I was just wondering if you ever got the 460 on a dyno. Sounds like you've been real busy if you've got that much would put up.

All this talk of a 461 is gonna make me want one.... It doesn't take much. I only need to read like 3 sentences on a certain saw and I want one. ;)

I was wondering as well. I know that was Randy's first. I am curious myself!!

I love my 460 :dex: So much I want to make another one.. ;)

Used my MM 461 on a 27" willow oak yesterday!!Freakin awesome!! I dont care for the full comp chain on the 25 b/c, I gotta get square chisel on it. My mm362c with semi skip square was awesome!! Fast and smooth.!!! The 461 has tons of torque and gnarly but uses a sh**load of gas though!!! Lol!!

Maybe later this winter if you have time I'll get something sent your way to test.

Alil update Chad on my 461 u dynoed. After I cut with it started flooding after I shut it off. Took the carb off and cleaned and found the carb choke sticking alil. Put back together and guess what? That hesitation on the top rpm disappeared! Runs like a scolded dog!!!
