Got sick of drying off my wood all winter. Decided to build this shed with reclaimed wood and steel from an old pole barn that blew over. 5x16 feet - can hold about 3 cords.
Thanks! I've been putting it off for two years since the pole barn blew over and I saved all the scrap intending to build this shed. Last winter we got so much snow that it was drifting over my stacks and I had to dig down into the snow to get to them. Wood was soaking wet and a PITA to burn. Decided it was time to build. Glad it's finally done.
Looks great! Can't beat repurposing old lumber. Mine is from about half reclaimed. I like your opened up floor. Should let a good amount of airflow from underneath. I also like the roof overhang on the sides. Why did you double up the boards along the bottom walls?
Great job! A wood shed will transform your wood burning experience. How much do you burn in a winter?
Excellent build Benedict Lumberthatch How about looking for some used trucking tarps and forming roll up “curtains” that could be let down in the anticipation of high snow totals + wind to fend off any ingress of snow/drifting onto the shed stacks?
