    What model is the cruise ship? We had a 29 ft. Ranger which was smaller than that. We cruised the inside passage of Vancouver Island with it.

    Catalina 30, known as a cheap, bottom line production boat. Suits us fine, we left with 30 hours sailing experience. It's has wethered our ignorance for 5000 miles so far.

    You definitely learn as you go. We had about 6 hours of lessons mostly with very little wind when we purchased our first boat - Paceship 23 - and started sailing.
