Got that last load split and stacked. This was a load of tree service rounds anywhere from 14" to 23". I set the loaded trailer, sawing stump and stack in close proximity. I mark a number of rounds to 16". Slide a round to the saw stump and cut to length. Got to work the little Stihl 026 for a while. Tossed about 3 of these 16inchers on the splitter table and 3 on the trailer ready to go and split and stacked immediately just a few steps away. The trailer yielded one face and a bit more (half cord+) and 6 full wheelers of kibbles and bits. The bad part is that, toward the last, I tripped on a small chunk and fell forward with a large quarter in my arms. I pitched it at the splitter table and tried to recover by jerking my right leg forward. My foot caught on the saw stump and something ripped deep in my right butt cheek. Bout passed out! Have been hobbling around for a couple days and not doing much. It will be a bit before we get back for the last of the rounds
Always impressed with your cribbed ends. They look good with those long pie shaped peices. Get well soon.
Those cribbed ends are a thing of beauty. Sorry to hear of your injury. Take it slow. If it persists get it checked out. Seems like there's always some sort of hazard we face as hoarders. Heal up fast.
Oh my! Sorry Russ, that’s no gooder! eatonpcat could probably fly out there and help you rub it back into shape. All kidding, lovely stacks and I hope your discomfort eases. But as buZZsaw BRAD suggested- anything persistent probably needs professional attention.
Sorry to hear about your injury my friend... If it makes you feel any better, I also have I PITA...I call him Eric (Eric VW)
Fantastic stacks Russ! I really like Douglas Fir. Hope your injury isn’t too serious and you’re back to soon.
Thanks for the positive comments. You guys crack me up with some of them! Things are improving butt slowly. It will be a couple weeks before we get to the rest of the wood. The owner says he is also taking another, smaller tree down in the front of the property. This one is truly standing dead and next to the driveway but I think it may be a Spruce. Probably be OK for someone wanting "this winter " firewood.
Everyone on this forum says “pictures or it didn’t happen “. As far as your azz goes, we’ll take your word for it.
Sounds like your gluteus maximus is injurus. But your stacks remain beautifulus and badassumus. Warning: please do not take this as medical advice, as I am not a doctor and have no idea what the he$$ Im talking about. Except for the stacks. The crib ends are a thing of beauty.
Russ I don’t know how I missed this thread but you did tell me about it the other day. I hope it doesn’t hold you down long. Good luck. btw I am with Sue right now and we did finalize the date of The 19th.
