“Wood Beggar” Could paint that on his tailgate too. Might actually get some business from it. Tack the flyers to all the dead trees in town. I like it LOL
Wow, the nerve of some people. You had an agreement and she broke it. To call you the "town beggar" was low, really low. You go out of your way to help people, many of these people are ones you've never met in person. I agree, they might take the logs and drop them off at one of the Buzz's places as a way of bypassing the PITA. I too like revenge and while I am a patient and understanding man, at some point I lose that patience and turn it to revenge. If you can take the high road and get the last word by getting the wood still, then that's the best outcome.
Actually that's got some good business possibilities. junk removal.... Tree work...... Hard two words to forget. Uniforms would be cheap.
Maybe I'm just old but........ Have the words "I never promised you a rose garden" bounced through anyone's head?
Well, after everything that happened there I figured today I better start therapy. If all goes well, my session should end tomorrow night sometime. Seems like every time that wedge goes in I smile a little more. I haven’t really had time to go through and read all the post in here, but thanks to everyone for the support. All things considered things couldn’t have turned out better. Thanks again, everyone Especially you, Brad for one Hoard, I certainly will not forget.
buZZsaw BRAD , you and your sidekick, buzz-saw are a class act. Remained polite while wronged and cleaned up in spite of it! Walked away knowing you kept your part of the agreement. You both have my respect!
Wow Brad, that’s one heckuva story. My guess is that the lady has an alcohol problem. She could just be completely nuts and that’s the problem, or real tool as they say, but that little switch thing that she did on you for no reason strikes me as someone who had few and then had a little personality change on you.
Thanks I think we are both a little old school and no matter what the circumstances we both wanted to keep our end of the bargain. We did and both have a great story to laugh about until the next one.
Well done You 2 guys the older I get the filter gets more holes in it I do not think my reply would have been politically correct to her comments, several comments come to mind and I am sure they probably would have made the situation worse at the time . Then again if it ever happens again you could request her to make a donation to the " SFMMR charity " ( The Society For Making Me Rich) and she could have signed the check right over JB
Hilarious not really for you guys but just the lady's demeanor. My response would of involved throwing some shade. "Sorry mam that's not the agreement I had with the man of the house I'll be on my way".
Wow! Nice job guys! And Brad is the furthest person from a begger that I’ve come across. Glad you guys were able to take the high road and call it day.
The world is full of mini-tyrants now. I'd have dumped it all right back out, because that's how I am. *Ma'am
a and if she did (big IF) she would mostly claim it on her taxes. However, I am leaning more towards what you are thinking.
Irregardless she was trying to coerce. She wanted to bend his will a bit. Mini tyrant. The insults when her 'request' was denied confirms.
I've had something very similar happen to me. He came out when I was done cutting 2 tanks and was almost half loaded. Telling me that his BIL is coming over to "get the rest of this that's on the ground". Not what we agreed upon. After him talking down to me for 2 minutes, I blankly stared at him as I closed the trailer and walked backwards to the truck. BIL can deal with everything. I brought my backpack blower to do cleanup and everything !!
