Bro, you’re so right. I love that smell too! My wife always says that’s weird. Now I know there are two of us!
I couldn't agree more. There is nothing like the smell of the first fire of the season. My name is Mike, and I'm a hoarder.
Had 47 this morning, going to close the pool on Sat. May take one more swim on Thursday. Water was hanging at 82 after work today but I had tomatoes to process and more tomorrow.
Good to hear. We have a lot of rabbits this year so our two have been on a mission to find and eat as many Rabbit Rasins they can.
Had 52 this morning. Nice little cool off happening, finally. Dad gave me the word he wants to get out in the woods to cut soon. Guess it’s time to prep the saws.
Yup. Time to get busy again. But I'm hearing of another warm-up next week. But the warm spells will continue to get shorter and shorter as we get into fall.
I'm behind this year. Last year the shed was filled by Labor Day and a cord stacked on the deck by the next weekend. I have the shed half filled. Looking ahead highest temp looks like it will be 84* one day next week. Rest mid 70s to low 80s. Currently 55* and cloudy.
50 right now and according to the forecasted high, we already hit that for today. Come monday, it's back to high 70's-low 80's for a week or so.
I did just bring in enough wood to start a small fire tomorrow morning. That will feel great! I also just finished moving all but one log off neighbor's property. I need to move 3 or 4 loads of rounds and splits and need to ger that done so I won't bother hunters. Neighbor's leases it and they are afraid the tractor will scare the deer. Little do they know how little attention they pay to the tractor. Many times I pass them within 10 yards and occasionally even less.
