Don’t consider this social media myself.
    It is a support group.

Exactly. We support each other's firewood fetish, and cosign each other's BS :)

Another load brought home this afternoon. There’s another 3/4 load left up north for me to grab, but I *might* cut one more this upcoming week.

I moved my pile at home so that it’s in a better area. There’s more stashed in the original location to process at some point too. I think it’s safe to say that I’m solidly in oak mania right now :dex:

I'm always envious of how many great scores there seem to be in CT.

Nice work! And yes, you need that trailer for wood. Sure, you can put a few rounds in the bed of a truck, but unless you have a dedicated wood truck, a trailer is the best way to haul wood.

Trailer is great. It gives the option of filling it and then dropping it to unload at a later time and not have e truck full that has to get unloaded right away.

Also with a trailer maybe some mulch , a load of topsoil or maybe gravel? Wouldn't want to do that with my truck.

But don't forget that if you get a trailer, you might be more of an "errand boy" helping others do some hauling.

When I was younger and before pickups became so common, it was often assumed that someone with a truck was available to help people move and various other tasks.

    ASSumed. :D

Also, before everyone owned trucks, those truck owners were usually handier people, and just good people to know.

I already do that with my truck! :picard: Although your trailer is nice for the occasional mill log I find.

Last load and I’m calling it done. All that’s left are some crotches and a 12” red maple, and I’m not driving almost an hour for that :D
