I was given a non running Shindaiwa EB 240 blower and purchased a parts blower for $10.

I replaced the carb on the parts blower and the starter assembly on the other with a knock off and could get both of them running if I messed with them and cranked long enough.

    Once started they ran great.

The other day I was bored so was looking them over when I noticed the chokes on neither one were closing all of the way.

There was a washer missing on each that held the choke in the proper position as it pivoted and into position.

Once the chokes were closed they cranked right up like new.

Installed a washer on each and they fire right up and run great.

It's a good feeling when you actually figure it out and get it fixed.
