Believe me, I've been hounding him for over a year now The guy would fit right in, but doesn't want to be on social media...
Another load brought home this afternoon. There’s another 3/4 load left up north for me to grab, but I *might* cut one more this upcoming week. I moved my pile at home so that it’s in a better area. There’s more stashed in the original location to process at some point too. I think it’s safe to say that I’m solidly in oak mania right now
Nice work! And yes, you need that trailer for wood. Sure, you can put a few rounds in the bed of a truck, but unless you have a dedicated wood truck, a trailer is the best way to haul wood.
Trailer is great. It gives the option of filling it and then dropping it to unload at a later time and not have e truck full that has to get unloaded right away.
Also with a trailer maybe some mulch , a load of topsoil or maybe gravel? Wouldn't want to do that with my truck. But don't forget that if you get a trailer, you might be more of an "errand boy" helping others do some hauling.
When I was younger and before pickups became so common, it was often assumed that someone with a truck was available to help people move and various other tasks.
ASSumed. Also, before everyone owned trucks, those truck owners were usually handier people, and just good people to know.
Last load and I’m calling it done. All that’s left are some crotches and a 12” red maple, and I’m not driving almost an hour for that
