Hello Water got in and the trim broard under the window and the large board across the bottom and decorative support bracket was pink rot! Might be a good idea to fix it before fall and winter?? See pics 1-3 Then we noticed the 4 ft vinyl trim piece between the 2 middle windows was missing where the water most likely got in! They are a press fit and this middle one must have blown down in a storm So $102 for the nice PVC Veranda HP (High Performance) composite wood and some 2x4x8 PT from Home Depot and with the product ID code in the top window jam, I did a special order from Anderson for the vinyl trim piece! See pics 4-6 After tearing it apart we found the trim boards and bottom board apart I found the trim boards were not really fastened securely so we added some pressure treated wood for a good strong nailing base. See pic 7 Then added the PVC Boards See pic 8 The job is not done until the new trim piece is installed and all nail holes are filled and caulking and touch up painting is done!
