No more than any name branded hydraulic oil. Way cheaper than toros hydro oil I think I paid 74$ for 5 gallons last time I bought it? Not 100% on that. Boss man buys it usualy
This is correct. Spend the 8 or 10k now and it will way way outlast a residential unit in the 4 to 6k range.
I mow multiple accounts over 2 acres on standers. When I had my own company and was solo I had one stop that was 10 acres. (This account followed me to the new company so now we run 3 guys on it) Once you get used to standing it's way more comfortable over the course of a day
Yeah parker pumps and individual wheel motors is the shiznit. But, do you really need that? That's the thing you need to consider vs serviceable transaxles. You're not running a lawn care service
To me that looks like a pump/motor assembly on each side. This is how most new machines are setup. It minimizes hydraulic hosing. 1 belt off the engine will run both pumps Your 2 most common hydrostats commercially are hydrogear and tuff torque. The pumps that run them may well be a parker part. Usually if one happens to be replaced it gets the whole shebang on that side. With proper maintenance hydro replacement is rare. I would say most failures come from poor maintnence
At my height and weight I tend to get concerned about durability. At $7500 total for 3hrs its not much more than others with tax, delivery etc. I'm not even sure if I can fit on it, can't find anything on the size of the platform. Not sure about the elastomeric ring suspension either.
Yep. 2 motors, one on each side, run by a single pump. We're saying the same thing. That's the most heavy duty drive system there is.
Does it? It might or not . The description is a little vague. What I've found is that mower manufacturers marketing departments are NOT up to snuff with actually specs. .
Any opinions on a big guy on a stand on? Will it need wheelie bars? Is there room for some big boots on the platform? Worried that I could be the monkey on a football.
I agree on that! I've read ....... 1 parker pump and 2 parker wheel motors...... 2 parker pumps and parker motors......... 2 hydro gear pumps and parker motors.
Might should go for a test ride? Made me chuckle, remembering back before your 1st gtg when you said you were a midget...
No sir, 2 pumps 1 on each side. They are bolted on as part of the hydro transaxle. Not saying this from scag experience, but every commercial mower(6 of them) that we have at work is set up this way. Older units and my last walk behind were set up with a single pump. Not saying it doesn't exist but personally I have not seen a new commercial mower with a single pump
I'm only about 175 My boss is (guessing here) 6'5" 320-350lbs? He fits fine on the platforms we run. The tightest one we have is a JD 648r That particular design feels cramped to me. Wich is a rebranded wright standerx I believe. Not my favorite mower but ironically it's the one I kept from my business for my personal yard for $ reasons. I've never run a scag, but see alot of them being used by other lawn care companies. I'll argue that you would feel more cramped on a sit-down than on a stander
