Black locust end grain

    I milled a locust tree earlier this year for a couple projects. I was in the shop this morning and my miter saw blade dang near polished these cuts. All the same tree .. interesting growth patterns. Some rings are less than 1/16", others close to 1/2".

    One of these days I'm going to make a BL end grain cutting board.

    I always marvel at all end grains. Yeah that BL is some hard stuff. Ive seen BL with 3/4 growth rings.

    That BL cutting board would be sweet.

    Black locust cutting board might be kinda hard on knives…I’ve seen sparks fly off my chain cutting that stuff. Lol
