    Busy day today.

    Did a 3D archery shoot this morning. Shot terrible, but the same arrow got me to the finish line.

    Installed the desk and cabinets.

    Made 16 quarts of tomato sauce and salsa.

    Going out to dinner later with wife and oldest son.

    lets Go get some wood split before it gets nasty out.

    It’s already 80 and rising quickly.

    I was able to split one bucket at least.

    I couldn’t split last week as I had a wedding for my daughter and a bunch of stuff came up.

    Thursday I went to see an optometrist who stopped the exam and sent me directly to a retina specialist.

    seems I’ll be off work no less than 3 months it sounds like now due to a Retinal Vein Occlusion.

    with the expectation that I will become partially blind in my right eye before it heals.

    life is grand.

    Did you go to Mayo clinic in Rochester? My wife had her eye sight saved by one of the retinal specialists there over 20 years ago.

    Retinal Consultant of Minnesota…


    The doctor expects the hematoma to gradually cross into the macular area of my eye before it starts to improve.
    That’s what will cause the “blindness”.

    the issue is…

    it blinds me in that area of a car sitting in front of me or a kid crossing at a sidewalk.

    it’s not as big of a concern for my private vehicle. When it comes to the DOT physical… it’s another issue.
