After a couple years of less wood processing, I’m getting back. Have this winters wood dried out and ready but 2 winters from now I’d have nothing. Haven’t been in this spot for a number of years. Starting now, I’m going to be focusing on getting and processing wood. I have a tree service friend that dropped off about half a cord of cherry and Bradford Pear in the last few weeks. I also answered a FB marketplace add for curbside black birch. Trying to focus on wood that takes a bit less time to dry). I know folks like to muscle the whole process, but I’ve found over time that using the trailer, hydro, lawn tractor, handtruck make the process smoother and more efficient. Feels good to be back at it.
Looking good! Sounds like there's gonna be some good smells in the neighborhood once you get to burning that cherry and pear!
Good to see you again! And glad you are back at it. I’m impressed with the amount of wood one can scrounge in CT.
