The diesel engines are the smokers in the group...some run alcohol, no smoke

Yep. That GALOT tractor in the one vid is a superstock unlimited. They convert the diesel engines to burn alcohol.

I don't know about the pullers you referred to but the diesel tractors produce a lot of smoke under full power. Some upwards of 4000 hp.

I guess speed reading isn’t my thing, I just read it as loading.

    Here are some pics anyway.

View from the side door up top, the center trap was open & the outside was open but the 2 middle traps wouldn’t open. I got them opened up after a I got the sweep auger going.

    IMG_0444.jpeg

It’s a 36’ bin, 18’ from wall to center trap.

This rubber wheel it what drives the auger around the bin. Basically it just spins keeping the auger pushed into the corn pile.

    IMG_0447.jpeg

The sweep is powered off the outside motor on for the horizontal auger under the bin, there is a transfer box in the center trap that sends power to the sweep. If all that gibberish makes sense.

Some bin floors are basically smooth no raised lips.

The bin I am cleaning out now has the slightly raised lips/ridges & doesn’t sweep well with a broom unless you are going with the “grain” of the ridges

    IMG_0452.jpeg

The bin right next to it has a smoother floor, they are much easier to sweep out. IMG_0454.jpeg

Makes sense to me. I helped my cuzn farm in the 80's. He had 4 bins, been inside cleaning them out many times.
