Small cruise ship stopped in the tiny, isolated village of Francois, which is only accessible by watercraft or aircraft (unless you don't mind bushwhacking for dozens of miles).

This cruise circumnavigates the island of Newfoundland, and also visits Greenland and other such destinations. I'd love to go on a voyage sometime.

The trees next to the pile are about 10’ tall.

I resplit a cord today knowing nothing will get done until Wednesday while I head to my youngest daughter for her wedding

the splitting pile is getting much smaller

Lucky might be much bigger, but Mr.Murphy holds his own in an altercation.

Did my least favorite woodworking task this morning...installing full extension drawer slides. 3/4 went fine and one kicked my butt getting the drawer to close evenly. Seems like that's how it always goes. Only 3 left to do later this evening.

Dry shampoo tip. I've used baby powder in the past (the spray ones gross me out, gets in my nose), turns out both are bad. This morning no oomph for shower to go vote, used cornstarch instead and it worked great! Some of your Brides or Mom's might like this tip.

    Enjoy the present
    by Pastor Matt Ewart

“I wish there was a way to know you’re in the good old days before you’ve actually left them.”—Andy Bernard, The Office

The great irony of life is that most of our thoughts are directed toward things from the past or things in the future. It is almost unnatural to pause and live in the present. And it comes at a cost.

Dwelling too much on the past will either fill you with regret over the way things turned out, or it will fill you with lament that the good times are past.

Dwelling too much on the future will either fill you with anxiety over all the things you can’t control, or it will fill you with false security over all the things you think you control.

If any Christian ever wrestled with regrets over the past or anxiety over the future, it should have been the apostle Paul. But he found the secret to living in the present, and he was kind enough to share it with all of us: “I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation” (Philippians 4:12).

Being content in the present creates a peace that no event from your past can take way. Finding contentment in the present makes you resilient to all the anxiety about whatever’s in the future.

Contentment begins when you believe that God has forgiven your past and he has a purpose for your future. Take some time today to enjoy the present.

Got a new truck. 2024 F-250 XL SC/SB 4x4, 6.8L v8, 10 spd., 3.73 E-Locker. Gonna put my 8.5' Fisher Xtreme V plow on it for this coming season and get a new one before next season. Not sure if I'm gonna go with a 8.5' VX2 or a 8' HDX. Really liking it so far.

I’m curious about the door stickers and what does it actually scale.

I got rid of my ram 2500 Cummins because it was heavy (7900lbs). It was a bigger truck than I needed anymore.

the 2020 F150 was close in payload to the Cummins but still less than it. Was 5700 lbs.
    IMG_5195.jpeg
since the 2020 was out of payload with our camper, I didn’t want to go back in size to the 250/2500 class vehicles, …

I ordered the 2023 F150 which actually has a higher payload than the Ram 2500 did.

I haven’t had a chance to chat with anyone yet to see how an actual F250 gasser would have compared.

Did I give up too much pickup?

At 20ish mpg, is this 5.0 coyote engine worth it for the amount of towing I do vs being a grocery getter.?

My '03 250 is 6800 (4x4, S/C, 8') guess that's the difference between the steel and the alumibody
