How are sales? None here. All the local stores have not sold any. Couple tire kickers inquiring about bundles on my FBM ad but that's it. I've put together a bunch and will continue to do so.

Got the rest of the bottom done. Hard part finished. IMG_5960.JPG Been assembling bundles. Ready for the next order. IMG_5958.JPG Bay of shed getting close to being empty enough so I can start addition. Mostly sassafras on top with pin oak on the bottom. Ill put most of the oak back in the stacks as its only dried 16 months. IMG_5959.JPG

I see all different types of bundles for sale in front of stores. These made me chuckle. IMG_5955.JPG

Cooler temps and Labor day are right around the corner. I'd be surprised if bundle sales don't accelerate.

There's usually lull in the Summer. Who wants to sit by a fire when its humid out? Not me.

They will pick up with the cooler temps.

Have you had any outside fires Mike?

One in early July. Had some relatives staying with us. It has already hot/humid out, but the fire gave a reason to gather outside watching young kids as they burned marshmallows on a stick.

I definitely admire your use of reclaimed materials. I try to do the same as much as I can. I really don't remember when I last used a piece of new lumber.

The last 3 weeks have been slow, even though the weather has been fairly decent. My customer with the Air bnb lake house order from me Saturday (8 bundles). I had a couple customers that picked up a good bit of smoking wood over the weekend. That was about it. I'm still processing.

Those are some gnarly looking bundles! I would never put my name on those.

Fortunately with work I have access to stuff with demo work. The "pricey" part of the build was the clips of nails for the gun. Ill use screws on the rest for strength.

Gotta keep making it :saw::axe::stacker:to make it:makeitrain"

Doing the same here. 75 bundles on hand. Ill do a few more this week and start moving splits aside for demo and construction. A thread will be posted when it commences.

I think there's a round jig they fill then a wrap slides over it and heat applied to shrink it so it doesn't have to be pretty. I like pretty bundles!

I think all I've bought in the last several months is screws, a tarp and some ratchet straps. Everything else is scrounged from somewhere.

Maybe they should use a dark wrap that you can't see through. It would look much better.

I'm busy with a new project. A buddy's neighbor had a big silver maple taken down. I've brought home 2 loads so far. Probably 4-5 left on site. Lots of splits from this one.[IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

Thats some sweet silver maple. Nice and straight for the most part. Making some pretty splits. Wish I could get more of it. My last potential score of it was too big and gnarly. Not for me.

    Keep on bringing it home.

Got a new score myself for tomorrow. Stay tuned.

It's pretty close to Goldilocks wood and I can drive up to it. All the smaller limb wood has been cut to manageable lengths and stacked by the homeowner. I throw a few pieces on top of every load to cut up at home. I figure I have about 4 loads left (maybe 5). I finished splitting and stacking load 2 last night. Going after another tonight.

Keep after it. Nice weather so ideal for processing. Love it when you can back right up to a score. I'm getting very spoiled by that.

Here's last night's load. The homeowner actually helped me bringing rounds to the truck. Now I'm REALLY getting spoiled! I split about 1/3 of a tote before dark.[IMG]
