https://photos.app.goo.gl/znPcjbmLiF9T8r7R9 Can't help myself. Ordering a carb kit. Hopefully some Mac collectors find me on the Craigslist when I list it. Lol

Saw this at a saw shop. Never fired still new other than the years of dust and dog hair on it. Echo CS-8000. I asked the guy how much and he wanted $830 for it. It’s pretty dirty lookin for being new.
I was tempted but I have a feeling it’s not going anywhere anytime soon. My understanding of these are low revving torque monsters. Auxiliary overriding oiler is nice too. If I keep running my 7900 I should be able to fight my CAD. It’s absolutely vicious. This shop has a bunch of older model echoes. I think he ordered a lot of saws like 10 to 15 years ago and they have sat. Nobody wants echos around here, everyone wants stihl. He had echo 490s for sale. The last year the cs8000 was manufactured was 2014…
That’s what I thought. Probably the least expensive 80 cc saw I could but that not Chinese. I already have a 7900 so I don’t need 2 80cc saw. I may want one but thats entirely different. I’d wager it has a different bar mount than I have already to further complicate things.
My son sent me some pics. Guy he works with gave him some saws. He’s a welder but never did mag before. Might have to give it a try. Came with brand new clutch cover, carb, carb spacer, clutch, coil, fuel line/filter, and chain.
you have some nice saws... You handed me your 7900 up at one of Dennis's GTGs. It will CUT... Big saws are fun in the larger wood.
That looks perfect. I am very picky as far as what I use for smoking as well. Want it as clean as I can .
Looks like someone was a little down on the maintenance end of things over the years. Great for your son , a little TLC and back to the wood.
