Actually, it's the FHC clubhouse that is available for use only by members with full paid lifetime membership!

That's why it is so clean!

Another tropical morning here. Fall can't get here fast enough. I'm pretty close to the point where I'm sick of mowing and gardening and ready to shift gears and go hunting and cut firewood.

A little but not bad; 9 inches of rain in 3-4 hours is just too much too fast.

    your safe also bogieb?

    Make me the cotton
    by Pastor Dave Scharf

One night at a mission in Africa, the pastor overheard one of the native people praying. The prayer was simple but strange. The person prayed, “Lord Jesus, you are the needle. Make me the cotton. Amen.” The missionary asked the man what he meant by his prayer. The man explained that he had visited the mission school that day and watched the women sewing. He noticed that the thread always followed the needle. In the same way, he wanted to follow Jesus wherever he led.

“‘Come, follow me,’ Jesus said” (Mark 1:17). At first, that sounds daunting! It’s not always popular to show we are followers of Jesus. People may disagree with us, hate us, take advantage of us, or worse! How will we get the courage to follow Jesus? Realize who Jesus is. He is the Almighty God who can do anything. He does not need anyone. He does not need to do anything. And yet, what did he choose to do? He chose to love you. He chose to come to this earth to live the perfect life you couldn’t live. He chose to give his life on a cross for you. He chose to forgive you and lead you out of hell to heaven. He is the one who says to you, “Follow me.”

Our response? We will follow as directly and dependently as the thread follows the needle.

Lord Jesus, make me the cotton today! Amen

She was extremely friendly. Ender up sitting on the side of the road for a long while with her.

I'm in an area that isn't seeing any rain.

I've gotten maybe 3/4" of rain since June.
I haven't mowed since July 2, except a drainage area (I mowed that for the ifrst time last week). The other drainage area that usually flows all the time is dry although it is probalby still somewhat moist under the layers of rock. My area is technically in an "abnormally dry" area, but I believe my spot is a lot worse since all the rain goes around me. I wish. I could take some of the rain that you guys are getting up north.

Yesterday there was a brush fire 2 miles east of me up on Hedgehog mountain.

Not dry here. We are getting our share of thunder showers and the lawn is very green. Only have to water the hanging plants which dry out every day. It is just fate that keeps the rain from you.

I had my smoke detectors replaced. I was near the ten year mark and they were chirping. Mine are battery and hard wired. The replacements are from the same manufacturer. These talk and the beep alarm is very different. They have a carbon monoxide detector built in with the smoke detection. My son changed them out for me. I can't stand on a step ladder or look up without losing my balance.
