Wonder if the truck driver drove over a high curb and when wheels bounced onto the ground the hitch hit the curb smashing it up. ????

To be honest I really haven’t given it much thought. IMG_3903.jpeg The hitch is mounted on the back of a truck like this. When the barricade is folded down like this IMG_3904.jpeg the hitch is pretty exposed. They are not supposed to drive around with it down but they do so it could have caught on anything.

I have said before that some of my customers could break a anvil with a rubber mallet !! This is the attachment plate from a mini skid steer brought in yesterday cast steel 3/4 to 1 inch thick !! I am never amazed anymore sometimes I am impressed with the carnage though JB:rofl:  DSCF2236.JPG

Just did a repair for a customer similar problem . His was rust caused on .093 steel tube. Had to replace the tongue and a cross member ( which was pretty much not existant due to rust) 4x8 tilt trailer. sorry no pics, never entered my mind,

Boy, they have really cheapened those light trees up the last 15-20 years! Used to be a lil steel in 'em! (and a lil diesel generator that would run darn near forever, with even the least of care!)

Have to say...that stabilizer looks to be extremely underspec'd. Should at least be boxed.

That was the exact thing that came to mind for me as well.
Hard to tell how big the machine actually is but it just looks like it needs a little more than that.

The old bobcat's like mine actually had a backhoe attachment. It mounted right to the front of the cab with the bucket removed. Quite the unit. I would love to find one. Screenshot_20240726-101510_Photos.jpg

looks like the plate off my boxer

surprised I never did that, although I did manage to rip the curl cylinder apart more than once, and tore the mount off once, turns out having 3 guys stand on the back of the mini is a terrible and very expensive idea!

its just cast with minimal support, probably wrapped a chain through it and tried to lift something is my guess, or the attachment wasn't hung in place correctly and tweaked it some

just a guess, in normal operation that plate is loaded perfectly evenly and can't really break
