Any one have a favorite tooth bar on their tractor? Weld on or bolt on is okay with me. Saw this old thread Tooth bar for bucket

Wanted to see if anyone had bought/used one since then. Was it titan or EA that went out of business recently? The cutting edge on my bucket is showing some wear. I mostly use it for spreading gravel with a little dirt work.
A second tooth bucket is not out of the question.

I had never used a toothed bucket on a skid steer until I helped my boss cut topsoil to put in a long driveway. To say that digging performance is night and day may not be adequate. Not much for grading or finish work but boy oh boy can you move some dirt!

The tooth puts all of your machines force into an area 1/4 the size, effectively doubling or tripling your digging force.

    I have a Massey GC1710 sub-compact
I have a Piranha Tooth Bar from BXexpanded.
    It is very well made.
    It's a Bolt-on model, I almost never remove it.
I have had it about ten years.

Yes EA went out of business, and there were two titan companies that people got confused. The original one changed there name to IronCraft a couple years ago to get away from the confusion with the Chinese imports.

The ironcraft is what I got recently for my root grapple.

as I said, the 1/4” lines it came with could be upsized to 3/8” or even 1/2” I think to make them have a much faster cycle time.

I wouldn’t use this for a commercial application. None of the pivots are greased. Okay for a light use homeowner. Not for heavy commercial uses.

Somehow I missed the review you did on your new grapple, not sure how. I would agree with you on not using that one for heavy commercial uses. They make several lines of grapples, the economy being just that, the HD or extreme lines are intended for commercial uses and come with larger rams, lines, and grease fittings.

My little 48” grapple on my 2025R has grease fittings at all pivot locations, and the same size lines as the machine. I’ll have to get a picture of it when it’s on the tractor, it’s cute. We bought it for my FIL to use on his 1025R as he’s getting up there in age and loves using my grapple on the 4052R. He’s “storing” it for us until we build a barn.

To get back to the original question, I had the Piranha Tooth Bar on our 1025R and liked it. Not as aggressive as some, but a smooth bottom for back dragging. Worked pretty well to cut brambles and vines at ground level as well. Got pretty good at stripping sod off of the lawn with it in areas that needed to be redone.

Looked at the Heavy Hitch tooth bar as well, but didn’t figured it would be a lot for my little tractor. It also didn’t have a flat bottom, so it would have to come off for back dragging.
