I don't know why I forgot about this winter picture during a miserable heat wave tradition. Thanks for pitching in. This was April 5th this year. A VERY wet snow. Yes that's close to 3" piled on a normal clothesline! Maybe this odd April snow being not so long ago affected my memory
This was from May 30th of this year. Took it through the window while cruising up Guanella Pass. 10 foot tall wall of snow along both sides of the road. To be fair, there’s still snow up there right now.
Yup, got a closet full of clothes that says I stay warm in the cold, but once you're down to almost buck nekked in the H.H. you're out of luck!
We love winter. It will be reaching 90 for the second time this summer within days here. I wouldn’t be surprised if we get mired in a hot streak going into August.
Thank you! They are among the best moments in life. From left to right it is my wife, her sister, our daughter, her husband, my wife’s father, and our granddaughter. Our two boys, their significant others, and our grandson were out of that particular picture.
Have we had enough yet? Another 90 degree day here which reminded me to give this old thread a bump. I no longer wish for any season to wrap up (time goes by fast enough for me as it is) but I’m grateful when the heat finally does break.
A very rare occurrence for us, but I'm glad we had a chance in Jan '25 to add a few pictures to this thread... A big pond, which was an old kaolin mine, on my way home. The island has a family cemetery on it... My cousin's farm down the road from us... Some woodyard pics...
