No more outdoor fire. Had a lightning show last night. 21 fires sparked up within an hour and a half drive. The campfire ban is on.

I take care of a rural cemetery with many sick and damaged trees and we know what this means.

    From last night's fire. PXL_20240728_031018229~2.jpg

I see I need to do some welding on that right foot of the pit. These things just don't last long. I need to find/ buy a heavy duty thick steel pit that will last more than 5 years.

That won't pass my wife's standards. Not unless it's been heavily customized that is

When I drove to Austin TX in April, we stopped at a couple of Buccee's and they had nice heavy duty fire pits for sale. Not cheap, but heavy duty. That's what I'm looking for, just locally

Good on you for taking care of the cemetery.

I am a township trustee & was just up cleaning up a white pine blow down at our rural township cemetery. We put out bids for mowing but other maintenance fall on the trustees unless it’s major or something we can’t do.
