I don’t care much for a power tailgate but I would never buy a single cab truck again. The back seat of my crew cab is more comfortable than most cars. Not that I ride back there often.
The super cab was a nice lesson on a crew cab roominess and the pleasant ride of the longer wheelbase of a 6.5’ bed that goes with it. there’s a 12” difference in wheelbase between the two trucks
I had to special order the blue truck. 7850 GVWR and a 2550 payload vs 7050 GVWR and 1817 payload. Ive learned most dealer spec’d trucks are nothing but glorified grocery getters.
I looked at how much I was spending on used trucks, figured out how much I was going to spend on them in the future and realized… ordering the dream 1/2 ton that poked at 3/4 ton capability for as much as I tow… just made sense At age 55, I’ve got the pickup that will take me to age 70 easily now.
Manual hubs you have to turn the slot dial in the front wheels to lock them in, and also the switch on the dash or the floor. I see a slit in the front tires of that truck, afraid I can't make out the back tires to see what the center looks like.
I got out of a car in 1993 and now it's spooky for me to drive that low to ground, like my behind my scrape on the asphalt lol. I have a need to be higher than the point of impact of and accident than a car.
