Relaxing, eating, drinking, and enjoying the beach life. We are in the bay part of Virginia Beach. Very different from open water beach and surf. The waves are much more calm. Not as salty. Much nicer for swimming and relaxing. I’m not crazy about most beaches for swimming and relaxing. This is nice. First time here for me. We came in across the bridges and through two tunnels. Interesting to know that fully loaded Ocean Liners are cruising along above you when you are traveling through the tunnels.
Currently 80 degrees and 80% humidity Tomorrow humidity drop to 50s and high of 75 lawn will get mowed tomorrow I know you southerners think these current numbers are OK BUT here it’s sweat dripping weather
Used to love hanging out in Cape Charles, VA...It's on the North end of the Bay Bridge Tunnel. How much does it cost to cross that bridge now-a-days??
Thanks, I don't remember how much it cost back in the 90's when I used it a lot,,,,but I am thinking it hasn't increased as much as I expected.
Had a follow up with the primary doctor today… “you likely have a concussion / whiplash which is why you’ve had light sensitivity and headaches since the accident. Take a month off no driving for work and we’ll see how you’re doing…” sigh….
I think it was 6 or 7 when I lived near that area in the mid 70's to mid 80's. I'm surprised it's not higher now.
I’m just getting a little bit of a chance to catch up some. May and June about did me in. Got to go to Milton VT next month had to go there in June. That’s a long day trip adding in 3 hours of working to the 11 hours driving. Have to think about making that an overnight. Good thing I can just stop and get gas in 5 minutes.
The Capital Air Show was last week and the Blue Angels were practicing over our house. It was quite the show!
I saw some one too! Blew a tire near an Blue Angels airshow, I didn't know. But admired them as the went overhead while I waited for the tow truck. Twice different State Patrol questioned me why I was there, nope, I wasn't gawking on Interstate, but I did blow a tire. What a sight!
We saw the blue angels and all the aircraft at the air and water show last year in Milwaukee from Bradford Beach. This year, we're watching it from the boat in lake Michigan. The Thunderbirds will be performing this year.
