I haven't had a chance to handle the LC9s, but my buddy has the LC9. For what it is (a small 9mm carry pistol) I like it. It's slim and no-frills. From what I remember recoil was somewhat snappy with the narrow grip, but definitely not punishing. I'm glad the manufacturers are starting to focus on truly compact concealed carry guns. While I'm a fan of Glocks, they are just too bulky for me to want to strap on my hip. But I can put my LCP in my back pocket or S&W J-frame in my front pocket and forget both are there.
This is one thing i have David for years. People love these full size or "compact" 45 or 40 guns that are double stack and just massive. And talk about carrying them. Who want to carry that? And how do you. The 380 I have keeps showing if I dont make an effort to pull my shirt down. I wear t shirts 99% of the time and I can't hide it from the shirt riding up. I dont wear skin tight shirts as is the fashion now either. Maybe its just my long torso from being 6'2" but my t shirts won't stay tucked in they just shrink that size...so there is barely a tail to cover the gun and if I bend or reach the shirt will catch on the grip and hang there. Imagine this with a honkin 1911 there. One it will be like a giant thing strapped to my hip and the other is my shirts won't barely clear the barrel! Then try and sit...dont se how some do it?

Have too look into them. I am wearing an XL now. Like I said I am 6'2" which I dont reallythink is that tall. And wrich about 210ish. If I go up I size I will look too "urban" which is not what I'm going for
You could always cut the sleeves off. Just kidding. I'm a little guy, 5'-7", #150 with boots on. I have to constantly maintain my beer gut, just so I can wear a t-shirt out and not print.
I've got the same issue. I'm 5'8", and am at 175 lbs when I'm lifting and running and in shape. But I'm at 200 lbs now and my beer gut is really starting to print!
Unfortunately I've been too cheap to buy t-shirts that fit my, uh, larger frame, because I've been saying for a year that I'm starting a diet next week. Needless to say all my t-shirts would show every nook and cranny of a gun on my hip! Luckily I prefer to carry in my pocket anyway.
Local Murdochs had a LC9-S on display so I messed with it. Quite a bit larger than the LCP, but a great fit in my small hands. Safety pivot was opposite of what I expected, but engaged easily. I think the wife will really like this one. Her's will be here next week, I think a range session will involve her and a few more Ladies. There is a bit of interest in this one. Oh yeah, the trigger is noticeably better on the "S" vs. the regular LC9. I tried them both tonight, the "S" wins hands down.
I just saw an add in national rifleman for the LC9 s and it looks like a SA trigger where the LC9 is a DA trigger. Looks to be half the trigger pull as well. Do both these guns have a safety? I dont like a safety on a carry gun.
The trigger feels more "glock" than a straight single/double action. But I only dry-fired them in the store, not exactly a sworn testimony as to the differences in trigger pull. I will say this- the LC9's trigger was similar in feel to the LCP. The "S' was better. Remember, the LC9-S is striker fired, vs, hammer fired. Different internals will make for a different feel. When I get "hands on", I'll tear it down and see what's - what. The external safety wasn't obtrusive. The pivot point wasn't expected. I'm used to a 1911 style, pivot pin close to the grip. This one is forward, with the Thumb tab closer to the grip than the pivot pin. But... it only took about 3-4 sweeps of the safety and it was just fine. Anyone concerned about the safety protruding too much, don't be. It's low profile as is, and could be modified to be almost non-existent if you really need that. JB
BK, when I last handled the LC9 at a gun show a few weekends ago I forgot to ask the details about the clip safety, will this gun fire one in the chamber with the clip removed?
It has a magazine disconnect. I watched the hicock video. Won't fire without mag. The hammer fire could potentially go off right??? Not likely but with the strike r it only comes into place to hot pin when hammer is dropping so drop foreign won't happen. I dont like a safety as its one more thing to have to do in a stress full moment if you have to use it.
I'm not a fan of the mechanical safety on the side but I like the idea of the clip safety. When I train at work on gun grabs one of our defenses is letting the clip drop so the gun is useless to fire.
26...bad azz...my carry gun with crimson trace and mag extension..holds 13..and still fits in the palm of your hand..
