Mine doesn't chatter with the .043 3/8 lp set up as long as I don't go crazy with the rakers. That said, I wanted a longer bar so I decided to do the switch. I ordered a second chain as well. I'll let you know how it cuts.

We went with .050 gauge so it would run full chisel. I understand the longer bar though.

    Update. This tree...

20240625_155440~3.jpg Is now this. Two trees together actually. Everything under roughly 10" was done with that XS2511P. Rest the XS241. Man I love me a ported, lightweight saw. 20240709_114523.jpg 20240709_114509.jpg 20240709_114521.jpg

Everything this side of the red line was the 2511p.

Mid 80's and nasty humidity. I could barely get my coveralls off as they were soaked.

    Thanks bud.
They have me on a nerve med. Either its helping some or I'm getting better on my own. I'm not lifting that crap though. I have a helper and the big stuff we are noodling. Some of those rounds are 20" and green red oak. Heavy as fork as you know. Lol

Im the saw runner mostly. Load the small stuff. Drag brush too. I chop the brush into shorter length for easier dragging.

That's nice work, brother. I hear ya about the light ported saws. Our son ran the XS4910 today. Got that new air filter on it...he said "that saw gets on down the road"...I think I need to rich it up a bit.

Plus we are using the tractor bucket to haul as well as a 4 foot square yard trailer behind the deere garden tractor. Its pretty close to the ground so easy loading.

Thank you. I'll try. Today I was glad I had my helmet on and thankful the saw has the brake. Something happened at the end of a cut of the main trunk. It happened so fast I can't wrap my head around all of it. It kicked back, set the brake and then hit the tip of my steel toe boot on the rebound. The brake did its job. The chain wasn't spinning. Turns out there was a 4" branch under and attached to that round that wasn't visible. Somehow that caused that chain of events.

Excellent. Ported saws ruined me on stock saws. I play with some vintage saws as novelties but not for serious cutting. Those are for the nephews helping out. Lol

The Speed cut nano set-up for the 2511p arrived yesterday. I thought I only had one of the 3/8 lp x .043 chains left but I actually have 2. So it might be awhile before I switch over unless I can fit the bar to another of my saws.

    Update. Making progress.

More drug out to a couple of the staging areas.

The most congested area, that had the 7 trees all piled together, is opened up finally. Trails have been blown off and all sticks removed.

We still need to cut down the triple tree in the middle of it that has zero canopy left.

This was all drug out or cut up yesterday and today plus 7 cherry that we separated for potential smoking wood sales. I'll get pics of that cherry hoard at a later time.

Some views in from the edges...

A few stumps before cutting them shorter.

This one is scary. We will just clean up around it for now to open up the trails. There are others that are more dangerous yet in my opinion.

Hard to tell from the pictures but the two piles are getting pretty large.
    20240721_164938~2.jpg 20240721_165028.jpg
I made some smoking wood, for my own use, from some of the oak. The end for this update.

Thanks bud. Looks like I'm striking up a deal with a qood burning neighbor that buys all their wood to heat with. We will be working out the details this week probably. Thy literally have to haul it 300 yards lol.
