My wife just asked me what I paid for gas this morning...I said $3.05/Gal and she says not bad. 4 five gallon cans and 19 gallons in the truck $120.00 (Not Bad)!!
I miss old school big ole seeded melons...so much better than todays "seedless" hybrids! And when they crack like this one, you know they gonna be good!
That's what makes the ice cream taste so good. It probably only appeals to those that like to be self sufficient. We made ice cream in boy scouts when i was younger. A small coffee can and a big one, obviously when they were metal. Ingredients go in the little one. Then the little one goes inside the big one with rock salt and ice between the two. Tape the lid on and kick it around the ground until done.

The one cranking when the ice cream was ready got to lick the dasher at least in my house. My folks gave me a one like that about 30 or so years ago. I still have it and will be passing it on to the next couple generations.
