t-minus one month until the wedding so I've been busy finishing some small projects for my fiancé. Last weekend I cut the center pieces, table number rounds and the cupcake stands. Spent an hour beforehand making the cradle we used on the loader to cut it all. Overall it went much better than I thought it would! Note: I am having trouble getting the pics to post from my iPad but I'll get them up once I figure it out.
Ok I finally got it to work! Had to upload them to the computer but none the less, here they are! Heres some pics of the cradle we made for cutting. worked out perfectly and really helped in keeping nice even cookies.
Heres pics of the center pieces. most of the logs were 16-18" round and she wanted them around 1-1.5" wide. Turned out better than I thought they would!
Here are the table number rounds... these were actually fun to cut with the little MS192. First time i've really got a chance to use that saw and it worked great! These pieces were all around 5-8" round and 2-4" wide per the miss's specs.
All and all it was a fun project and gave me a chance to get some saw time in Next is some experimentation with the wood burner so we can burn the table numbers into the small rounds!
The great thing about this is that all that work will pull double duty. For the wedding and then to keep you guys cozy in the winter later on. Lookin good!
My friend and her husband did something similar for their son's wedding. Unfortunately she stored them in a warm place not realizing how much moisture was in them. (used green wood) When she opened the box to repack them, they were covered in green mold. Her suggestion for anyone doing this is to dip them in a bleach solution and make sure they are stored in an airy place to dry before the wedding or decorating them. If you used dry wood to make the cookies, it might not be a problem. They look great by the way. Hope you will have pictures of the finished products.
Thanks guys! Good point WW, I've currently got them tied up in trash bags bc they all started to crack and split from drying out too fast. I'll pull them out this week and check them.

Here's my words of advise to a brother hoarder, work harder getting prepared for the marriage than the wedding and try to always think of the other's needs above yours....lastly work your butt off brother to keep the honeymoon going for many, many years.
