Any advice on selling green, cut to length wood? Price for a pickup truck load? Maple, oak and cherry.
20240630_214001.jpg This pile will grow tremendously. There is, at least tripple this cut up innthe woods and we are probably 10% done if that. Probably closer to 5%.

I hate unfinished business. A few more weekends and there should be a big pile of wood.

You no doubt want that wood gone. How about $60-$80 for a pickup load?

Is that a fair price you think? 60 for short bed, 80 for long bed?

You might get more but you should be able to move it sooner this way. I would even be willing to come down $10.

I have yet to unlock the split brakes and try steering with the brakes. I have a backhoe hanging off the back so it's not like I don't have enough weight to try it.

I rarely uses them. For one, they aren't convenient on this tractor with the hydro pedals on the same side and I almost never have needed them. I sat sideways doing this, right foot on the hydro and left on the brakes.

Just seeing this thread. Those storms are amazing with the amount of tree damage they create. Been hit with some in our area over the last several years.

Looks like a good workout for your fleet of saws. $60-80 sounds very fair as those are some nice uniform length rounds. Don't burn much yourself?

100 for green hard wood? Cool. I definitely keep cherry on hand for smoking.

Pic heavy update. More damage I hadn't shown before and some progress. First the damage. This is all still up on the front 1/2 of our property. 20240707_072945.jpg 20240707_072959.jpg

Decent size cherry. Heavily branched. My favorite...lol

This was the worst area. There were, basically 7 trees all tangled together. 4 completely down, the largest wedged itself in the middle of the three into one tree. All the tops from the 3-1 tree were snapped off. Part of the trunks as well. We will eventually cut that down along with a couple others that have lost all, or nearly all their branches / canopy.

More damage pics...All this would be a really big pain to get to if not for all the biking / walking trails we made all through our property. 2.69 miles so far.

And some progress. We are piling brush anywhere there isn't a trail. I have used the leaf blower on what I can to start identifying where the trails actually are. We have started a second pile of cut up wood and have drug more trees out into the open to process more easily. That's if for now. 20240707_073717.jpg 20240707_074500.jpg 20240707_073042.jpg 20240707_072932.jpg 20240707_074209.jpg 20240707_074215.jpg 20240707_073505.jpg 20240707_073541.jpg 20240707_074320.jpg 20240707_073422.jpg 20240707_074153.jpg 20240707_073435.jpg 20240707_074229.jpg 20240707_073524.jpg 20240707_073122.jpg
