Fell asleep earlier, wake up and damm I gotta go close windows or unpack blankets. And had a fire in the morning. LOL

How many times are you allowed to backspace delete to remove an apostrophe before you realize it is a spot on the screen ?

It was great yesterday morning here. Without using any fans the house got down to 67* or maybe a bit cooler before I closed all but two windows. I was in a sweatshirt half the day until the sun started warming up the house a bit

I would say that is cool rather than cold.

67 f Here. Very overcast with intermittent showers. Also windy. Yesterday was fantastic, bright and sunny, low 70's F. Cindy and I went to Five Isles on the coast. We had a haddock dinner and enjoyed a nice view of the ocean and islands. Bay had pleasure and fishing craft moored.
These pictures are not mine, but they show the place. The food is excellent. $$$

That deck looks like it has seen a few battles. I bet its twice as thick as what they sell today. It's shocking how thin they can make things today.

Most folks around here buy from fish markets that sell only freshly caught or harvested seafood. Nice thick cuts of fish. Fresh fish has very little odor. Fish caught near the shore tends to have worms. Our restaurants will only sell cold water caught fish free of worms. The advantage of living near the ocean is access to fresh seafood. We still have seafood stores, butcher shops, and bakeries.

Yeah, it's still super solid. If I had more time, I'd prime and repaint it. Maybe later.

I can say it mowed excellent Thursday evening. Sharp blades really help, but so does a belt that's 1 continuous loop and a bearing on the tensioner pulley.

Glad it is working better now! Your pictures made me get off my duff and clean up my lawn tractor. Thorough cleaning, oil and filter change and air filter blow out. Greased all the zerks. Washed it down and set it in the sun to dry. It is basically done for the season. I use it to move the splitter around but the mowing is over til next spring.

3 day work week this week. I'm making it a 2.5 day by taking off Wednesday afternoon. It's supposed to be 88° and sunny Wednesday. Going to a bigger inland lake to boat in the afternoon Wednesday.

Last night I emptied the heavy a$$ honey locust out of my wood trailer and split about a trailer load of wood from my last score. I wanted the trailer free just in case. Yesterday was only on the upper 60's and in the early evening it was in the 50's so I figured I'd fire up the splitter. I burned up 2 tanks of gas on the Tecumseh on the splitter. Some of the HL and even box elder and the pine I was splitting was knotty and took some effort. I even split vertically because a couple of those rounds were 300+ lbs

    Called out, not kicked out
    by Pastor Mike Novotny

If I were Jesus, I would have eaten the Lord’s Supper alone. Why? Because I would have kicked out all the apostles long before that Thursday night! Read through the gospels and you’ll find Peter, James, John, and the boys saying and doing such absurd things that you expect Jesus to stop his journey, pull out his hair, and scream, “Enough! I’ve had enough! You all are done!”

But Jesus didn’t do that. He often called them out, but he never kicked them out. For example, when James and John wanted to torch the ungrateful Samaritans, Luke writes, “But Jesus turned and rebuked them. Then he and his disciples went to another village” (Luke 9:55,56). He called them out (“rebuked them”) but didn’t kick them out (“he and his disciples went”). That’s the tough yet tender love of our Savior.

He’s the same way with you. Through his Word and his people, Jesus might call you out. There will be some tough moments indirectly (through a sermon/written devotion) or directly (face-to-face with a concerned Christian) when God will expose your sin and call you to repentance. But the goal is never to get rid of you. With a tender heart, God will forgive you for your sins, offer his Spirit to help you change, and continue to walk with you “to another village” in your journey to heaven.

Christianity is not a religion of unconditional acceptance. It is, however, a faith filled with unconditional love. That was true for James and John, and—thank God!—it is still true for me and you.

I'm glad that roof is done. I was hoping to get the gable ends closed in too, but I ran out of daylight.
