I will say that I'm a lot more picky on what I do look for, or choose to buy now.
I try to stick to the one's that have a good name for themselves

Not a bad 3 saw plan for not knowing about the 3 saw plan.

Still using two of em. I was already enamoured with them before coming to FHC. That said, I have gained valuable info here and other places to help me in the choosing of my saws since. Didn't really have any funds for 'nice' saws back in the day and still barely do. I have a couple saws that I will likely never use, but are there if need arises. I'm pretty settled in with 6 runners now. 50cc is the only size I have more than one runner in (2) with one retired and one in reserve. Range goes from 34cc to 79cc. Current wants are mainly limited to Echo's 620 and an OE/XT 372. I don't need either, but if I were to pony up some money for another saw it'd probably be one of the two.

I thought about it, and I technically only owned 1 Saw when I joined FHC. That was my Dad's Stihl 029 super. I needed a bigger saw, so I bought the dolkita 6421. Then I won the donated new Stihl MS 170 from Denny's GTG 3 years ago. Dad gave new grandpa's old top handle Stihl, and his old mac 610 like from national lampoons Christmas vacation, and then friends gave me a newer non running small cheap mac. Now I own 6 chainsaws.

Once I'm done fixing/ buying lawn care equipment I'll be looking to turn the 6421 into a 7900, and then get a new 50 cc saw

I started with 4. An old 2050 J-red that was a great saw, a 455, 55, and my 7000 Redmax. Now I've gotten to where I don't want to run one unless it's ported. I've decided I think I just want to keep and run my 4910, 262, 7000, and 394. All are ported by Huskihl except the 394.

I had 1 saw, a Husqvarna 345, that seemed to adequately serve my needs for years. Then I decided I needed/wanted something more. While doing some research on what to get, (I had my sights set on a Husqvarna 562), is when I stumbled across this club. It sounds kinda cliche, but joining up with you fine folks really has changed my life in multiple ways. Not the least of which is owning somewhere in the neighborhood of a dozen chainsaws

100% agreed. I still do everything I did when I first joined up, but more of it and then some. Shoot more, garden more, fish more, hike more, DIY more, tackle problems head on with more confidence... Learned how to sharpen chains better here, how to tune a saw, how to diagnose all sorts of issues, how to make maple syrup, got inspired to forage more... And the process is still ongoing. No exaggeration that this site and the people on it have changed my life for the better.

Two of my buddies ruined that possibility early on by buying MS311s or whatever they were at the time that would barely outcut my 350 Hoosker. No one around me ever ran a pro level Stihl, so they were always 'heavy & slow' in my mind. Of course this is incorrect, but it had set in pretty well before I knew any better. Not to worry though...I'm still repping Germany via Dolmar. :D

    I had 2 saws when I joined, a 029 Super and a 192T. I traded in the 029 for a 362.

My brother in law bought an ms310 like 15 years ago. He liked it enough he bought an ms 311 2-3 years ago. He doesn't know any better. My ported 201 was faster in wood up to 12-13". Beech. Same log. Him cutting on one end, me on the other. He ended up having me do muffler mods and I removed the carb limiters. Both saws. They run much better but stihl heavy slow bricks compared to a lot of saws.
