Left my house at 3am eastern standard time and got to the Oakland Coliseum around 12:30 western standard time. Had an hour and a half layover in Vegas. Did t know they would be celebrating the 50th anniversary of the 1974 World Series victory or that I’d get to listen to Catfish Hunter address the crowd. To make it even better, it was run the bases for all ages after the game so of course we had to join in the fun and get down on the field. I also made sure to pack my Mark McGwire jersey I got for my 15th birthday in 1991 and I am proud to say it fits like a glove! (Being only 15, I did buy it with a little room to grow.) Tomorrow is the Giants game at Oracle field.
Oracle park was awesome! 15 degree difference though around the stadium with the wind coming off the bay.
