The trail cam right behind our WI cabin has captured this guy 11 times. He survived the gun deer season and still had his antlers Jan 18. We are going up this weekend it will be interesting to see if he’s still hanging around.
First bear tracks of the year behind the house. Small one, but still motivating. Need to get some cameras out.
Haven’t been to the cabin in two weeks. Checked the trail cam had 66 deer and one dog. Looked like a lab of some type but not sure.
This guy has been around a few years. He busted me a few times last year. Im hoping my luck changes this year.
He busted me a couple times last year, he also jumped the string two years ago. I hit him and couldn’t find him, felt bad about it. Saw him a couple weeks later and he was just fine. I’m hoping this is the year. I hit the brakes this morning and put er in reverse to get a pic.
These are not my pics or even trail cam pics. Two guys I know are fishing up by Boulder Junction Wisconsin and have seen 5 albino deer in the last few days. Interesting gene pool up there! They got within 20 yards of one eating near a backyard bird feeder and it showed no fear of humans almost like it was a pet.
Yep. Wikipedia says the town of Boulder Junction boasts in their tourist ad campaigns “come see the largest herd of albino deer in America”. I saw an albino about twenty years ago near Brooklyn WI that had quite the following. I think the Brooklyn one died of starvation after all his teeth wore out. (a DNR guy told me that)
I saw three of them standing next to each other in a yard that had free food.....the food was placed there for squirrels and birds, I believe. This was in boulder junction shortly after the dnr ruled you shouldn't winter feed deer.
