Temps rose overnight. It was 74 when I got up at 0530. Going to be in the low 90's and humid. Getting together with friends to play cards this afternoon.

I had a fire last night. We get a warmup the rest of this week, then I might run the stove more next week.

Hey! I put the stove to bed awhile back. I could have been burning this last month but at some point I just get done and just let the furnace do its thing. Thankfully we have had a cold wet spring unlike last year. The forest fires of last summer came within a short walk from my house. The destruction of last year brought burn morels this year so thats been fun! Maybe Ill do a morel post. This year its been more or less cool and wet with some nice weather thrown in... kind of like spring should be in the Rockies. We had some snow on the ground for a short time 2 days ago when I woke up which is late for even us but not uncommon. 7c/44f right now. We may get a frost..

Must wiser instead of getting the flue up to temp for a wood fire; did the same thing here awhile back, when needed.

Those temps are what you consider not too bad? :jaw: :hair:

Maybe there should be a thread

    "Hotter here....whats your temps?" :handshake:

I can’t argue with you but we’ll get temps up to 110-115*F in August. Last winter we were down to -14*F. Big swings in temperatures. What has me worried is that we don’t “normally ” see triple digits until mid July. This year might be hot and dry for me. .
