Been accumulating the last month and trying to get stuff drying. Won't be a perfect year as I am cutting and splitting now and it won't be till 2025 till splits are finally dry. Been splitting everything including branches small to speed drying time.

Building racks so I can get everything stacked sooner than later. Using a DR rapid fire single flywheel splitter. I have mostly white oak, some mulberry, some hedge, and a tiny amount of ash.

Helping take down a red and a white oak next Sunday, and my payment is the wood. Tree in middle.

Looks like an ideal drying spot. Nice assortment of woods too.

Better late than never. Hey, your free wood will still be dryer than 90% of what gets sold as seasoned, based on what I see.

We all started somewhere the idea is to always be trying to get ahead
That also looks like you will get some nice wood out of that tree

Good job. Any specific reason you're splitting it that small? Just wondering.

Because you don’t have good drying time, I suggest you try to find some quick drying wood (like maybe red maple) or some dead wood to mix with what you have this winter. It can be a big help in times like this. Good luck.

Not trying to be critical, but you really should find some pallets or runners of some sort to stack on. Even on concrete your bottom row of logs will rot before they dry.

If you split the ash small, stack in full sun with good air movement, cover before rains, you might surprise yourself this fall. Ash dries down fairly quick.
