Been long past due, but the wood hauler was in need of some TLC. Originally bought it at a cancer charity event. The sides and floor were all made out of untreated plywood. I knew it would not last, but it gave me 2 1/2 years of service as it was.

Over the summer I added a roof over our deck and also reconfigured the deck. In doing so I had some treated 5/4 board left over. Traded a gentleman some 4 wheeler parts for some welding. He added a metal frame, and some corner up rites for me. I used an old piece of tin for the front, and the 5/4 boards for the floor, and sides. So now it's ready for some wood hauling around the place this fall.

While I was in the mode. I through together a bucking stand out of scrap treated 2x4 stuff I had. Not fancy, but beats bending over cutting up small stuff.

Very nice. I like the strategic chainsaw positioning for the pic. I'm also a big fan of bartering, everybody wins.

Looks real nice. You can get some good logs in there.

Yeah, but don't forget it's in there before throwing rounds in.

Real nice job, and should last for quite a while.

I don't understand how that cross buck wood holder hasn't one chain cut in it. Mine looked like I was out to turn it to firewood. Should I build another, the support arms will be lower.

    It's brandy spankin' new.:dancer:
If the support arms are lower, you'll just cut lower, and it'll be firewood anyway.:saw:
    And....round and round it goes.:headbang:

That trailer should now be able to haul some pretty good loads. You'll love it. Sawbuck looks a bit short but will still work well.

Big fan of bartering as well. Always good to trade something I don't need any more for something I can get more use out of.

Only used it once so far. The chain marks on the side facing away from the camera. I did adjust the support arms a little to help prevent chain chafing.

Could be a little taller, but it is what I had laying around.

You have an excellent equipment set up. That trailer should serve you well for many years. Let's hope your back holds out.

So the temperature has finally cooled off enough that I felt like getting back at the firewood pile. Put the renovated wood hauler to good use today. Hauled out 5 loads of stuff I had cut and split this spring. A couple of loads were mostly shoulder season stuff, but the rest was dense hickory and red oak.

I am thinking of building a trailer to load and just back in the garage. Be one less time handling it. I have a yard cart but it doesn't hold enough for me.
